The Ocean Race Museum
In the heart of Alicante, next to Paseo Volado in the harbour of Alicante, The Ocean Race Museum is a modern exhibition venue where visitors can enjoy an interactive installation that gives them a close-up look at the world of the sea, learning about the most intrepid sailors and experiencing the hidden delights of the Ocean. Take a trip through the history of the regatta and the marine world in this state-of-the-art museum. In fact, this is the only museum in the world specialising in the most demanding challenge to sailors of our time. The regatta considered the “Everest of Sailing”, The Ocean Race.

Admission to The Ocean Race Museum is free for all visitors. Come and discover all the details of the race at your own pace. We recommend the Immersive experience, a new way of experiencing the race from the inside that includes race simulator “The Ride” and the NEW 11th Hour Racing Team Virtual Reality.
Experience the race as a crew member and sail over 30 knots on the simulator The Ride. Jump on board of the Malama, the first Imoca 60 specially designed to compete in The Ocean Race and winner of the last edition of the race. Feel the adrenaline of racing with the famous sailors of The Ocean Race.

Guided Experience
With this choice you will discover, with the help of our specialised guides, all the history, secrets and fun facts of The Ocean Race. As part of the guided experience, in addition to the tour of the permanent and temporary exhibition, visitors will board the Brasil 1, the Volvo 70 boat that took part in the 2005-06 edition. Experience life on board with the crew during the race, as well as the anecdotes and nooks and crannies hidden in the boat.
