‘Cinema on Wheels’ cycle during European Mobility Week 2025

16, 17, 22 and 24 September – 6.30 p.m. – City of Alicante University Campus (Ramón y Cajal, 4)

To mark European Mobility Week 2025, under the official slogan ‘Mobility for all’, the Vectalia Mobility Chair at the University of Alicante and the Film and Audiovisual Classroom of the University of Alicante’s Culture Service are organising the Cine sobre Ruedas film series, with the screening of four iconic films in which buses – symbols of public mobility, coexistence and urban stories – become true imaginary and social protagonists.

This initiative is part of the activities to raise awareness and encourage reflection on more inclusive and sustainable transport, promoted by the European Union between 16 and 22 September.

EL 47 (Marcel Barrena, 2024), El Bus de la vida (Ibon Cormenzana, 2024), The Atomic Bus (James Frawley, 1976) and Speed (Jan de Bont, 1994) are the films chosen for this series.

All screenings are free and will take place at 6.30 p.m. at the City of Alicante University Headquarters (Ramón y Cajal, 4). Admission is free until full capacity is reached.

The screenings are part of the sustainable mobility awareness activities organised by Vectalia, the University of Alicante and the Vectalia Chair of Mobility UA. The series invites the entire university community and the general public to come to the City of Alicante University Campus to enjoy these stories about mobility, share experiences and reflect on the importance of sustainable and safe transport.
