Alicante, Center of Spanish Gastronomy
Alicante restaurants will create four exclusive menus, one for each season of the year, under the name “Alicante Spanish Capital of Gastronomy”. The objective of this initiative will be to promote local and seasonal products, as well as give visibility to Alicante’s hospitality industry, in close relation to the celebration of the gastronomic capital.
The program will culminate with a grand competition among participating establishments, in which the winners of the year will be recognized in different categories, highlighting their creativity and commitment to local gastronomy.

Organized by the Alicante Town Hall, this event will bring together 40 restaurants, each offering a special menu where rice takes center stage.

Spoon dishes are taking the spotlight! This new gastronomic event in Alicante aims to reinforce the city’s role as the capital of Spanish gastronomy while delighting both locals and visitors with exquisite culinary creations.
Participating restaurants will offer a specially crafted menu featuring a spoon dish made from traditional Alicante recipes or locally sourced ingredients. This exclusive experience, available from 20 euros, aims to celebrate Alicante’s gastronomy as a true symbol of identity.
Alicante Gastronomic Capital Menu

The event will bring together four Michelin-starred chefs for a unique evening on the emblematic island of Tabarca. This unforgettable nocturnal experience will include a dinner under the stars, prepared by local chefs using sustainable and local products.
In addition, the night will be accompanied by talks on marine conservation, a guided tour of the island, and an astronomical observation session, highlighting the deep connection between gastronomy, sustainability, and the natural beauty of this extraordinary destination.
The activity will generate original and attractive content to promote Tabarca’s culinary richness and the talent of its creators, positioning the island as a reference for sustainability and gastronomic excellence.
