Gastro Cinema 2025. Film and Gastronomy Festival in Alicante

The seventh edition of Gastro Cinema returns to Alicante > returns to Alicante from 18 to 23 October with a programme that combines cinema and gastronomy. The event will host screenings of themed short and feature films, tastings, children’s workshops, talks and other activities in various venues around the city, aimed at all audiences.

Gastro Cinema is supported by the Alicante City Council’s Department of Tourism, the Alicante Provincial Council, Mercalicante, Aguas de Alicante, ARA, APHA and other collaborating entities. This year’s event is particularly special as it holds the title of Alicante > the title of Spanish Capital of Gastronomy.

Saturday, 18 October

• 7:00 p.m. – MARQ Archaeological Museum
  Screening: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (116 min)
  Free admission with registration. Free chocolates for children.
• 8:00 p.m. (Cuppola)
  Film-themed cocktails and creative tapas with views of Alicante.
• 8:00 p.m. – Hotel La Milagrosa
  Craft beer tasting inspired by the comedy Beerfest.

Sunday, 19 October

• 12:00-14:00 – La Cucaracha (C/ Poeta Quintana 25)
  Vermouth on vinyl with a musical session featuring a variety of styles.
• 8:00 pm – Rooftop Hotel Dormir de Cine (Cuppola)
  Film-themed cocktails and creative tapas.
• 8:00 p.m. – Hotel La Milagrosa
  Craft beer tasting inspired by the comedy Beerfest.

  Screening: A Ten-Meter Journey (117 min)

  Presentation of the ‘Gastronomy’ collection by the University of Alicante.
  12:00 – Presentation of the guide Enomaniacós on wine tourism in the Valencian Community.
  12:30 pm – Tasting of Herberos from the Sierra de Mariola.
• 7:30 p.m.
  Literary vermouth with presentation of gastronomy books.
• 8:00 p.m. – MARQ Archaeological Museum
  Short film caviar (60 min) Session 2
  Free admission with registration.

Thursday, 23 October

• 8:00 p.m.
  Teatro Principal de Alicante
  Admission: €10 (tickets on sale soon)
  Presented by José Ángel Ponsoda.
  Special recognition for Alicante chef Nazario Cano.

CINEMA RICE DISHES:

The festival Gastro Cinema includes the section ‘Arroces de Cine’. Throughout the week, 22 restaurants will offer a special rice dish inspired by a film title, creating a gastronomic route that invites the public to enjoy cinema through flavours.
