Great fun day celebrating the 10th anniversary of La Marjal Park

The La Marjal Park in Alicante, a national benchmark in innovation and urban sustainability, is celebrating the end of its 10th anniversary</ strong> with a great day of fun organized by Aguas de Alicante and the Alicante City Council.

Throughout the morning, visitors will be able to discover how the park works and its environmental value while enjoying a full program of sports, educational, cultural, and gastronomic activities for all ages.

• Information point on the hydraulic and environmental function of the park.

• Guided tours explaining the role of La Marjal in sustainable water management.

Sport and healthy habits

• Sports exhibitions featuring:

  • 🏀 Lucentum Alicante (basketball)

  • 🥋 Judo Club Alicante – Isabel Fernández Judo School

  • ⚽ CF Sporting Plaza de Argel Alicante (soccer)

  • 🤾 Agustinos Alicante Handball Foundation

  • 🧘 Open yoga class (Santosha)

Environmental education

• Environmental workshops for children in several sessions throughout the morning.

• Theatrical show “Fun Science”.

• Water tastings to learn how to distinguish between waters from different sources and debunk myths about tap water.

• Birdwatching routes and participation in scientific bird ringing sessions, focusing on the more than 120 species identified in the park.

Culture and art

• Urban dance masterclass, open to all attendees.

• Craft workshops run by the San Rafael Center.

• Live music with emerging artists from Alicante, selected through the @aguasdealicante call for entries.

• Outdoor painting: local artists will create works inspired by the park’s landscape from different viewpoints.

Gastronomy

• Starting at 1:30 p.m. free Alicante-style rice dish prepared by Riquelme at the park entrance.

• Tap water fountains, water tastings, photo booth area and delivery of commemorative merchandise for the 10th anniversary.
