Photographic Exhibition ‘Christmas in Alicante (1940–1970)’

The Municipal Archive of Alicante presents a photographic exhibition exploring Christmases in Alicante from the 1940s to the 1970s. The exhibition features historical images of the Belén de la Montañeta nativity scene, the rides on Paseo de Campoamor, the Christmas market on Calle Castaños, and the announcement of the Three Kings Parade, among other memories of the city.

The photographs come from the Municipal Archive’s collections and reflect the evolution of Christmas celebrations in Alicante throughout the 20th century.
