Mírala cara a cara
Mirala Cara a Cara is a proposal that approaches the traditional dance of the sevillana (characteristic of the region of Andalusia, Spain) through contemporary dance. The intention is not to delve into the culture of flamenco, nor to investigate its technique in particular, but to approach it from a circumstantial and compositional perspective. Tradition meets innovation, in order to pay an affectionate tribute to the first choreography that our bodies performed through humour and complicity. A sociocultural and choreographic ‘wink’ where aspects such as the importance of looking each other in the face in current times, recover a symbolic meaning.
Colectivo Sin Par is a platform that brings together the artistic works of the creators Lara Misó and Wilma Puentes. It was created in 2019 and its work has been developed mainly in the city of Valencia. Their creations are characterised by the search for body plasticity and organicity in the sequence of their scenes, accompanied by a strong and elegant aesthetic. To date, the Collective’s repertoire includes three pieces: ‘Efecto Siam’ (premiered in 2019 and with a long trajectory through numerous national and international festivals); ‘No es Amor’ (premiered at the Festival Dansa Valencia 2022); ‘Mírala cara a cara’ (premiered at Dansa Valencia 2024).
