CARNIVAL 2025 IN THE LOCAL SHOPS OF ALICANTE
Alicante is getting ready to celebrate Carnival 2025 with activities and special promotions involving local businesses, restaurants, and municipal markets. The festivities will kick off on Thursday, February 27th, and culminate on Saturday, March 1st, with the traditional Sabado Ramblero.
Campaign: ‘Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it in your local shop’
This initiative aims to encourage shopping in the neighbourhoods and to highlight the role of local shops as a key driver of the city’s economy. Participating establishments will offer special discounts, promotions, and festive decorations throughout the celebration.
Local businesses join the festivities
Shop owners from various districts, including the Quintana area, have organized special events such as costume contests and in-store promotions during business hours.
Municipal markets are also joining the celebration with festive decorations and exclusive offers.

On Saturday, March 1st, Plaza del Mercado Central (Plaza 25 de Mayo) will host a costume runway and contest as part of the Sabado Ramblero celebrations.
