Exhibition: ‘The Rebirth of Skin’. Design and the circular economy

The exhibition, organised by the Product Design Department of the Alicante School of Art and Design, in collaboration with MAGNANNI and the museum, will be open to visitors from 9 to 21 September.

Based on a deep conviction of progress, creativity and innovation, EASDA teaches sustainable, circular and emotional design: design that remembers the past, acts in the present and trusts in the future.

Nude Renaissance, the Rebirth of Leather is a research project that arose from the need to find a new life for pre-consumer waste material (leather) generated in footwear production processes. This project is a collaboration between academia and industry, EASD Alicante and the renowned company MAGNANNI, and aims to connect the footwear industry with the home industry through design that embodies a new circular economy.

Motivated by this energy for change, students feel hopeful and excited as they give contemporary objects modern and respectful forms; they believe in and create a beautiful future.
