MUSA Permanent Exhibition

The MUSA, located in the Castle of Santa Barbara, is composed of five thematic rooms and the Renaissance Aljibe, offering a journey through the history and culture of Alicante.

Main rooms of the MUSA:

1.  Engineers Building: Information center with archaeological remains and an audiovisual presentation on the history of Alicante.
2. Old Hospital: Exhibition “Alicante crossed by the Mediterranean”.
3. Long Hall: Exhibition “Stories and people” and preserves the old medieval gate of the fortress.
4. Mine Rooms: Exhibition “The explosion of the mine” (War of Succession 1701-1713).
5. Old dungeons: Visited with a guide as part of the tours of the fortress.

The MUSA combines history, culture and architecture in a unique setting, a must-see destination in Alicante!
