“The Romantic Era” Exhibition at MUBAG

The Museum of Fine Arts of Alicante (MUBAG) presents the exhibition “The Romantic Era”, an exclusive journey through one of the most fascinating periods of the 19th century, showcased through the collections of the Museum of Romanticism. The exhibition brings together nearly 300 pieces of various types —paintings, miniatures, furniture, textiles, clothing and personal objects— some of them on public display for the first time.

The exhibition invites visitors to delve into the world of Spanish Romanticism through artists such as Federico de Madrazo, Antonio María Esquivel and Genaro Pérez Villaamil, as well as to discover intimate objects belonging to historical figures like Mariano José de Larra and Francisco de Asís.
