Open Days – Italian Training Ship Palinuro

Port of Alicante, Quay 14.

During its stopover in Alicante as part of its 61st Training Cruise, from 28 August to 3 September, the Italian Navy training ship Palinuro will offer free visits to the public during its stay in port.
This iconic schooner, built in 1934 and converted into a training ship in 1950, currently sails the Western Mediterranean with students from the Francesco Morosini Naval College in Venice and the Basic NCO School in Taranto.
With a length of 70 metres and an impressive rigging of three masts and 15 sails, the Palinuro is a magnificent example of European seafaring tradition.

Visiting hours open to the public:

• Sunday 31 August: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.
• Monday 1 September: from 10:00 to 12:00.
• Tuesday 2 September: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.
