New Year’s Eve in Alicante
Alicante is getting ready to welcome the New Year in a festive atmosphere that brings together tradition, togetherness and fun. On the night of 31 December, the junction of La Rambla and Portal de Elche will once again become the main meeting point where residents and visitors gather to say goodbye to the year.
From 11:00 pm, the crowd will wait for the chimes to eat the twelve lucky grapes and welcome the New Year. The celebration will continue with live music by the Athenas Orchestra, performances and fireworks until 4:00 am.
Children’s New Year’s Eve Celebration
The morning of 31 December is dedicated to children, with the Children’s New Year’s Eve celebration taking place from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, in the same location. At 12:00 noon, there will be a rehearsal of the New Year’s Eve chimes, accompanied by entertainment, a photocall, inflatable attractions and a show designed for family enjoyment.
Purple Point
To ensure a safe celebration, a Purple Point will be set up at the junction of Cándida Jimeno Gargallo and Bailén streets, offering information, prevention and assistance in cases of gender-based violence.
