Fogueres de Sant Joan 2026: Children’s Prizes, Festival Stalls and Official Plantà

Alicante is gearing up for the official start of its big days: Les Fogueres de Sant Joan, the city’s official festivities. It is a busy day that combines the judging of the children’s bonfires, the roar of fireworks, traditional cuisine and the completion of the adult bonfires.

• Programme and Timetable:

  • 09:00: Visit by the jury to the Children’s Bonfires and street ninots.

  • 14:00: 3rd Mascletá Session in Plaza Luceros, set off by Pirotecnia Ferrández.

  • 17:00: Announcement of prizes for the Children’s Bonfires and street ninots.

  • 17:30: Official visit to the winning children’s bonfire in the special category.

  • 8.30 pm: Opening of the Barracas and Racós, accompanied by the traditional tasting of coca amb tonyina i bacores.

  • 00:00 (Early hours of Saturday to Sunday): Official raising of the adult bonfires and Barracas.
