Christmas Special Free Bus Service 2025–2026
Once again, Alicante City Council and Vectalia Mia are launching the Christmas Bus, a free service designed to make it easy to enjoy the festive atmosphere that fills the city at this time of year. From Monday 22 December 2025 to Tuesday 6 January 2026, the bus will serve the main Christmas attractions across Alicante, operating from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm, with a 10-minute frequency.
The bus will follow a circular route along the main thoroughfares of the historic city centre, with stops at Rambla, Luceros, Estación–Óscar Esplá, Portugal Street, Federico Soto and Teatro, before returning to the Rambla. When Rambla de Méndez Núñez is closed due to Christmas events, the Christmas Bus will access the upper section of the Rambla via Teatro Street and Duque de Zaragoza Street, travelling uphill, and will rejoin its route along Avenida Alfonso el Sabio towards Luceros.
This service offers a convenient way to visit some of the city centre’s main Christmas highlights, including the Giant Nativity Scene in Town Hall Square, the ice rink at the Port, the Royal Postwomen’s Camp in Gabriel Miró Square, the Christmas tree on Avenida de la Constitución, the social nativity scene and festive lighting in Montañeta Square, as well as the Christmas fair in Séneca and the House of Saint Nicholas.
