Film Club: “From Los Domingos to Sorda: Women Take the Camera”

The Film Club of the IAC Juan Gil-Albert presents a session devoted to the analysis of recent Spanish cinema directed by women, under the title “From Los Domingos to Sorda: Women Take the Camera”.

The event focuses on the work of Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, Eva Libertad and Carla Simón, whose films are among the leading favourites at the forthcoming Goya Awards, with a total of thirteen, seven and six nominations respectively.

The session will explore the context, themes and key cinematic elements of these outstanding works and will be moderated by David Esquivel.
