THE TRAIL OF ANGELS:

An immersive virtual reality experience lasting approximately 20 minutes, inspired by the work of Lithuanian artist Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.
During the experience, visitors journey through a virtual world created from a collection of his artistic works while listening to some of his compositions and symphonies, thereby combining his painterly and musical facets in a single experience.

This experience has an additional cost to the museum admission ticket:

  • Museum entry + VR experience: €7 supplement.

  • VR experience without museum entry: €15.

How to get there
  • Shuttle minibuses from Plaza Puerta del Mar.
  • Lifts on Avenida Juan Bautista Lafora, opposite Postiguet Beach.
  • Access via Calle Vázquez de Mella for vehicles and urban routes.
  • Parking at Santa Bárbara Castle is not permitted.
  • Pedestrian access via urban routes is recommended.

This route begins with a walk through the streets of the Old Town before reaching La Ereta Park. It also offers a spectacular view of the city, neighbouring towns, and the Mediterranean Sea.

 
In this case, the proposed route goes up to the fortress while enjoying views of Postiguet Beach from Calle Virgen del Socorro, before taking the trail along the western face of Mount Benacantil, which offers views of the northern area of Alicante and the surrounding mountains.

 

Only in the following cases:

  • Passenger drop-off and pick-up for the strictly necessary duration: taxis, private hire vehicles (VTC), persons with reduced mobility, minibuses (maximum length 8.50 m and weight 6,800 kg).
  • Visitors must follow the instructions of the site’s municipal staff at all times.
  • Coaches authorized to access the Castle must have a maximum length of 8.50 m and a maximum weight of 6,800 kg. Drivers must follow the instructions and directions of the local police officers at all times.
  • This authorization is limited strictly to passenger drop-off/pick-up. Once passengers have disembarked, the coach must leave the Castle grounds and return later for collection.
