you visit the Baroque Town Hall of Alicante, don\u2019t miss a very special feature: the <strong>Cota Cero<\/strong> (Zero Level). Located on the first step of the staircase, this point marks sea level altitude. In the 19th century, engineers chose this spot because the sea level on Alicante\u2019s coast was very stable, with minimal variations between high and low tide.
