On the night of <strong data-start=\"366\" data-end=\"381\">31 December<\/strong>, the junction of <strong data-start=\"399\" data-end=\"432\">La Rambla and Portal de Elche<\/strong> will once again become the main meeting point where residents and visitors gather to say goodbye to the year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"544\" data-end=\"780\">From <strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"561\">11:00 pm<\/strong>, the crowd will wait for the chimes to eat the <strong data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"632\">twelve lucky grapes<\/strong> and welcome the New Year. The celebration will continue with <strong data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"733\">live music by the Athenas Orchestra<\/strong>, performances and fireworks until <strong data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"779\">4:00 am<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"823\"><strong data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"823\">Children\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"1176\">The morning of 31 December is dedicated to children, with the <strong data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"928\">Children\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve celebration<\/strong> taking place from <strong data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"970\">10:30 am to 1:30 pm<\/strong>, in the same location. At <strong data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1011\">12:00 noon<\/strong>, there will be a rehearsal of the New Year\u2019s Eve chimes, accompanied by entertainment, a photocall, inflatable attractions and a show designed for family enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1194\"><strong data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1194\">Purple Point<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1409\">To ensure a safe celebration, a <strong data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1244\">Purple Point<\/strong> will be set up at the junction of <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1325\">C\u00e1ndida Jimeno Gargallo and Bail\u00e9n streets<\/strong>, offering information, prevention and assistance in cases of gender-based violence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alicante is getting ready to welcome the New Year in a festive atmosphere that brings together tradition, togetherness and fun.
