Medieval Market at Santa Barbara Castle
Experience the Middle Ages at the top of Alicante!
This coming weekend, the Castle of Santa Bárbara will be transformed into an authentic medieval setting. For three days, from 30 May to 1 June, the fortress is hosting a Medieval Market full of history, culture and fun for all ages.
Let yourself be transported back several centuries and stroll through a castle full of live music, traditional craft stalls, shows with period characters and a unique festive atmosphere.
Activities for all ages
- Crafts: jewellery, fabrics, ceramics and more made in the traditional style.
- Theatre and live music in different corners of the castle.
- Street shows with mediaeval characters
- Children’s games and workshops
Period gastronomy
Enjoy medieval food and drink in a gastronomic area with tables distributed around the fortress. There will also be tastings, samplings and workshops on historical cuisine.

Get to know the castle and its legends with special visits that immerse you in its history from the inside.

- 30 and 31 May: open until 00:00 h
- 1st June: open until 23:00 h
